The proposed design seeks to undertake a number of small external alterations to both improve the building energy performance for greater long term sustainability, and improve the health & safety for maintenance personnel to the high level roof: 1. Creation of a new rear dormer to the roof; 2. Refurbishment of the existing windows (excluding the ground floor shopfront glazing to No. 6 Kenrick Place) with new painted timber framed double glazed units; 3. Refurbishment of the glazed roof lantern with a new metal frame with double glazed units; 4. Alteration of an existing window opening to allow the installation of a painted timber double doorset with accompanying Juliet balcony railing; 5. The installation of two new rooflights to the west facing pitched roof; 6. Application of frosted manifestation film to a small number of west elevation windowpanes to mitigate solar glare; 7. Improve the current poor health & safety maintenance access at roof level with a new access door, and the installation of safety balustrading and safety access walkway;
