Retention of works in summary, the current proposals involve the following: Retaining the recent alterations to the rear elevation at lower-ground and upper-ground floor level (save for the new modern single-pane glazed door at upper-ground floor level) - including replacing the steps with a metal staircase;  Replacing the existing modern single-pane glazed door at upper-ground floor level with a timber door with a glazed upper panel;  Retaining the recent alterations to the rear garden;  Retaining the replacement of the windows at second floor level (which are enhancements);  Retaining the built-in shelving either side of the chimneybreasts on every level;  Retaining the boxing-in of the chimneybreasts at lower-ground floor level;  Provision of built-in timber kitchen cabinets either side of the chimney breast to the former rear room at lower-ground floor level;  Retaining the wainscoting to the hallway and landings;  Retaining the various structural alterations made at lower-ground and upper-ground floor level (as detailed in the structural engineer's plans);  Retaining the cornicing at upper-ground floor level;  Retaining the new opening between the front and rear bedrooms at first floor level (albeit reducing its width so that it has the width of a traditional door opening);  Retaining the built-in cupboard to the landing, and the new architraves at second floor level;  Retaining the timber panelling to the walls of the rear room at first floor level, save for that which is over the chimney breast (which is being removed);  Retaining the provision of bathroom fixtures and fittings to the existing rear bedroom at first floor level; and  Replacement of any existing modern idiom doors with historically correct four-panelled ones.
