T1 - Zelkova T1 - Zelkova - crown reduce by 25-30%. The radial spread of this tree is to be reduced by around 2 metres and the overall height by one half a metre or so. This tree has a very broad crown with strong lateral growth and no central leader or apical dominance. The form of the tree is consequently not good. It encroaches over the road in particular. The pruning is designed to contain the spread and promote a more upright crown shape which would better fit the available space. Remarks:
