Harrow Road Westminster W2 1RR

We are seeking planning approval to deliver three tiled artworks and improvements under the Harrow Road bridges along the canalside at Little Venice, on either side of Stone Wharf. The project is part of the Phase 1 of delivery of the Paddington Green & Little Venice Canalside Public Realm Improvements project that the Council has started in 2024. Improvements to safety, accessibility and lighting under the bridges were key themes raised during Early Engagement in September 2024. A RIBA Stage 2 Concept Design was developed and engaged on in April-May 2025, in response to these early findings. During this engagement improvements under the bridges with artwork and lighting came up as one of the highest priority interventions. This proposal responds to the local request. The proposed works that fall under this application are: - A Removable Panel System that is to be install on the abutment walls. Porcelain tiles (150x150 mm) will be mounted on each panel. - An Artwork by award winning artists Such Stories, that will be printed on tiles. - New Lighting that illuminates the space under the bridges and the artworks - Repairs to railings (as existing)
