This is a common lime tree that I've received permission to pollard twice before in the last 12 years. It has been several years since the last application and the regrowth is now reached a size that it really needs to be pollarded again. I have received complaints from the neighbour in Mayfair drive that the branched are now putting his whole garden in shade. I checked with the RHS who told me that common lime trees could be pollarded as often as once per year. I hope to carry out the work in the late autmn, once the leaves have fallen. I will use the same tree surgeon as on previous occasions.
