Rensburg Road Waltham Forest E17 7HN

The proposed development involves the installation of a bespoke L-shaped cycle and refuse store within the front garden of 22 Rensburg Road, London E17. The structure replaces the existing low-level brick boundary wall and runs along both the front and side boundaries, forming a compact footprint of approximately 5 square metres. It is designed to provide secure storage for up to four adult bicycles and three 240-litre wheelie bins, offering a long-term solution to the practical challenges of outdoor storage in a narrow urban garden. Constructed from a powder-coated steel frame with vertical timber cladding, the unit has a refined, handle-free appearance that integrates quietly into the streetscape. The planted green roof introduces new greenery to a previously hardscaped space, enhancing both ecological and visual value. Access is provided from both the public footpath and the private front garden. On the pavement side, both compartments are served by a full-width pair of sliding doors, while on the garden side, each compartment has its own hinged door for day-to-day use by residents.
