T1. Mature sycamore tree growing in the hedgerow next to the road. Height 7 metres, crown spread 3 metres. This tree was pollarded several years ago, leading to regrowth which has now doubled the height of the tree since it was pollarded. There is decay present at the point where the regrowth meets the top of the trunk, with several cavities which render the tree unsafe and likely to break and fall into the road. Proposed work is to re-pollard the tree back to the original pollard cuts, leaving pruning cuts of 10 cm diameter, removing branches of up to 3 metres in length., , T2. Semi mature sycamore tree. Height 7 metres, crown spread 4 metres. This self-seeded tree in the hedgerow has now grown to a size where it is very close to the nearby power line, and poses a risk to the road as it has recently dropped branches. Proposed work is to pollard the tree at a height of 3 metres to match the hedgerow, and allow it to become part of the hedge. This will remove around 4 metres of top growth, leaving a pruning cut of around 20 cm., , T3. A small group of 3 self-seeded young sycamore saplings growing out of the hedge towards the road. Height 3 to 4 metres. Proposed work is to fell all 3 to ground level, before they start to impede the sightlines on the adjacent road.
