80 Montpelier Road Brighton BN1 3BD

Rear of Garden of 80 Montpelier Road T1 - Elm Re-pollard back to previous points. Reduce pollard points by up to 1 metre, shaping and balancing remaining framework. Leaving inner growth to assist regrowth. The requested works are to reduce the overall footprint and to then maintain it at the smaller size. Structural damage is visible to walls surrounding the tree as shown in pictures. Carrying out these works would hopefully slow the progression of damage to said walls. Multiple gardens affected by falling debris and although none of the residents are in a mindset of losing the tree but would like it managed at a smaller size. Although the amenity value would suffer to some degree for a time, it would not be detrimental to the tree?s health.
