College Road London Borough of Southwark

Five Day Notification for tree works: TreePlotter ID 2009 - Weeping willow (Salix babylonica) approximately 12m located on the boundary of the Millpond with College Road. A lateral limb has collapsed over the fence to obstruct the footway. Although cleared it is still near head height. Deadwood is noticeable within the upper crown whilst retained foliage is obscuring the carriageway and triangular school warning signage. Although the crown has good vitality a climbing inspection should be undertaken to assess any structural defects. The stem has a pronounced lean towards the south with a supressed growth form. Recommended works: Remove collapsed limb back to main stem as shown in red below. Remove deadwood. Crown lift remaining crown to 2.5m above footway. Sever ivy at base to permit a closer inspection. Aerial inspection to report on structural defects and decay. TreePlotter 2011 - 2012 Oak, Lime and Alder located between the willow and junction with south circular. Various low overhanging branches obstructing the footpath, some at eye level. Recommended works: Crown lift crowns to 2.5m above footway.
