Alder tree (T1) - Reduce radial width of crown spread to South to leave 600mm branch length measured from main stem to a height of 10m above ground level. Also balance remaining crown spread by reducing radial width to 4m to the north, east and west and shape tree to resemble fastigiate growth. Do not reduce height. Remove sucker and epicormic growth. Crown lift 2nd order growth to 6m. Cut back to natural target collars or live unions where possible in accordance with BS3998
