Non-material amendment to planning permission 18/AP/3616 [Approval date: 28.10.2019] "Redevelopment of the London Road Building incorporating the Academy of Sport to provide refurbished and extended learning and teaching facilities, involving: - alterations to all facades; - addition of rooftop plant and other roof-level features; - rearrangement and increase of internal floorspace, made possible by the infilling of the existing voids on the uppermost floor of the building, including the relocation of the LSBU library into the London Road Building and the provision of a basement-level cycle store; - addition of a loading bay and bin store on Keyworth Street, and; - hard and soft landscaping of the external areas". The non-material amendment consists of: the removal of the interim entrance, the removal of opening windows on the north west and south east facades, the replacement of glazed spandrel panels with insulated metal panels, and various landscaping changes including the omission of the proposed raised planter (and with it the omission of three consented trees) on Thomas Doyle Street.
