Monterey Cypress - we have three of these in our rear garden, inherited with house. They grey unrestricted before that, we have tried to keep pruned but they are too big to manage. We would like to cut back to remove and grind stumps. We would then plant more appropriate native trees - bought as minimum 2m heights, to replace and provide more appropriate sized mini orchard. The size of the trees and their roots has detrimental effect on the ground and grass and affects neighbours light amenity into their property. We have many other established trees and feel that the removal of these trees would not be an environmental detriment. Our garden is walled and adjacent (and is private (hotel car park) to one side and just one neighbour to other side (affected by trees).
