T1 - Sycamore: Remove. Replace with 1 x Amelanchier arborea 'Robin Hill' 10-12cm girth. REASON: The Sycamore is growing in relatively close proximity to the house and, due to its vigour and eventual size, is likely to require regular pruning to maintain suitable clearance from the property. The tree has already been subject to heavy previous crown reduction, with further pruning likely to be required as the crown continues to regrow. Removal would therefore reduce the requirement for ongoing pruning and allow a more appropriately sized tree to be established in its place. Amelanchier arborea 'Robin Hill' would provide a smaller, more suitable replacement while retaining good amenity and seasonal interest. T2 - Sycamore: Remove. Replace with 1 x Malus ‘Evereste’ 10-12cm girth. REASON: The tree is showing multiple signs of deterioration affecting the main stems, including areas of bleeding and exudation, bark fissuring and cracking. These symptoms are considered consistent with dysfunction or infection of the cambium, and the tree is likely to continue to decline. It is also growing relatively close to the house and has already been subject to crown reduction, with further pruning likely to be required as regrowth develops. Removal would address the current condition of the tree and provide an opportunity to establish a more appropriately sized replacement. Malus 'Evereste' would provide a suitable replacement with good blossom, fruit and seasonal interest. T3 - Ash: Remove Smaller necrotic and decayed stem (150mm dia) at 1.8m on the South West Side. Health and Safety. T4 - Sycamore: Remove. REASON: The tree has a significant Westward lean and an asymmetrical crown, with the crown extending towards the neighbouring properties. It is also growing in close proximity to the larger Ash to the East and is beginning to encroach into its crown. The tree is therefore of limited Arboricultural significance and is contributing relatively little to the overall canopy structure of the area. Its removal would provide additional growing space for the surrounding trees and is not considered likely to result in a significant loss of continuous canopy cover, as the remaining trees would continue to provide a well-established canopy
