T1 False Acacia: (TPO) Remove the two main unmanaged codominant stems by cutting back to the primary fork at 6 metres. Retain the lower epicormic growth up to a maximum height of 8 metres. Finished dimensions: Height 8m, Width 6m. The tree exhibits advanced physiological decline, a thinning canopy, and a highly vulnerable unmanaged codominant stem structure. Multiple unidentified fungal brackets are present at the stem and root flare, indicating significant internal wood-decay. Recent branch failures have created safety concerns for neighbouring residents. Due to the likely severity of the decay and the high-target risk area, total removal of the tree is fully justified on safety grounds. However, this application is submitted as a pragmatic alternative to removal. Initiating a reduction to a 6-metre framework will completely eliminate the high-leverage codominant stems and drastically reduce wind-loading on the compromised root flare. This work is proposed as a risk-mitigation measure to safely retain the lower trunk habitat and a portion of the tree's amenity value, avoiding the immediate need for complete felling.
