32 Fife Road Richmond SW14 7EL

This tree is badly diseased and have disease to the trunks. This is the application for the removal or 3 poor quality Yew Trees. They are close and in some cases touching the Grade 2 wall of Richmond Park They are causing structural damage to the wall and driveway and will continue to do so if not removed. This is a major risk that the homeowner should not be exposed to. Policy 29 of Richmond local plan – Designated Heritage Assets requires heritage assets to be protected and this is not being adhered to here. There are also numerous National Policies and Local Policies that require listed assets to be preserved and allowing these tress to remain here is causing significant damage, leading eventually to the wall falling down. Planning policy allowing for the removal of trees that are causing damage to Listed Heritage assets and property is extensive and supported. The trees are unhealthy, bad specimens and are causing significant damage. There are also significant adjacent trees and the loss of these tress would not cause a loss of public amenity. There are substantial trees within 5m of these tress both at 32 Fife Rd and on the other side of the wall in Richmond Park. The removal of these trees would stop damage to the wall and driveway and there would be no loss of public amenity. We would ask for the removal of these trees to be allowed. They are obviously poor quality, obviously ill and obviously causing serious property damage.
