The proposed works to No49 Chudleigh Road can be seen in three parts: 1) A simple extension and unification of the existing bay window and front porch area. This is to provide additional shelter above the front door and is in line with a number of other similar properties on the road. 2) The demolition of an existing timber conservatory/lean-to to the rear and its replacement with an ‘L’ shaped wrap around extension at ground floor level. This additional volume will provide much needed living and utility accommodation to the existing 4-bedroom family home. 3) Wrapping the current house with external wall insulation (EWI) so that the existing house and extension become unified and once again match No47 which upgraded its exterior in 2024.
