Model Cottages Richmond Upon Thames SW14 7PH

We are seeking planning permission to expand and develop an existing car parking area to the front of 14 Model Cottages and adjoining Model Cottages. As per the attached Tree Survey, the work would involve the removal of a small, variegated pittosporum shrub (T05), a declining and dying rowan tree (T06), and a viburnum shrub (T07) as well as some cutting back (or, if necessary, removal) of other shrubs (G01 and G02) to create space for the parking bay. A replacement tree (walnut) will be planted at the time of the works and in the same area. These works will be completed in line with the Arboricultural Method Statement. This proposed parking area of 25 square meters will be prepared by removing existing gravel and paved pathway and then resurfaced using a “no dig” solution of "cellweb" or similar product, under which a protective lining will be installed. The "cellweb" will be filled with aggregate and topped with gravel, with a minimum depth of 100mm. The expanded parking area will be bordered by new wooden picket fencing that matches the existing fencing along the shared border with 15 Model Cottages. A pedestrian gate will be installed at the rear of the parking area and at the start of the path leading to 14 Model Cottages, replacing the current pedestrian and vehicle gates that are part of the existing picket fencing adjacent to Model Cottages. Please note that the timeline of proposed works is estimated and is to be agreed with the Contractor.
