The new extension will align with the depth of the existing 6.25m x 3m rear extension, forming an L-shaped footprint. The proposed extension will measure approximately 7.75m in length, 1.2m in width (tapering where needed), and 7.5m in overall depth from the front of the house. Internally, the wraparound element will not be connected to the rear extension; access will be via a door from the original house. The purpose of the extension is to reinstate side access to the garden and to provide a functional utility room, rather than expand the kitchen or main living space. The works will result in a loss of approximately 12sqm of garden area, leaving over 255sqm of private garden space. The extension will have a pitched roof with matching bricks and tiles, and no side windows are proposed. No works have commenced.
