Work will be done to the ground floor only, the first floor will not be changed or effected. For the proposal the roof/ ceiling needs to be raised by 540mm in addition to the ground level by 540mm, the garage door will also be raised up by 540mm. The existing interior garage wall will be removed and new walls will be constructed. Interior walls to separate the new room, corridor and bathroom will be constructed. Two new doors will be added, one for the entrance to the new room from the inside of the house and one for the new bathroom. The existing garage doors will be removed and the void will be filled with a large window roughly 2000mm wide and 1400mm tall, the window will be 900mm off the new interior ground level to allow more natural light in the new bedroom.
