1 Alverstone Road Nottingham Nottingham City NG3 5DQ

T1 - Horse Chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) A large mature horse chestnut located adjacent to and overhanging the public highway and footpath. The tree has previously been subject to crown reduction; however, it has responded poorly, resulting in a sparse canopy with limited vitality. There is extensive deadwood distributed throughout the crown. Fruiting bodies are present at the base of the stem, indicating the presence of decay-associated fungi. This raises concerns regarding potential basal decay and the structural stability of the tree. Given the tree's declining condition, reduced physiological vigour, presence of fungal decay, and direct relationship to high-value targets (public highway and footpath), the tree is considered unsuitable for long-term retention. Fell to ground level
