Abbey Lodge Charles Avenue Nottingham Nottingham City NG9 2SY

Trees are situated on Abbey lodge retirement village, land owned by Stone water Housing association Tpo 77 Lime tree group approximately 27 trees. The trees are very tall for where they are situated with narrow trunks for their height and have extremely long crown limbs. Trees of this height have a higher risk of wind exposure, there have been previously storm damaged trees that have fallen on the adjacent houses in the last year. We would please like permission to pollard the trees down to a height of 6 meters to match the adjacent row. This would reduce risk of failure and eliminate the potential for buiding damage keeping neighbours and residents safe. Please find attached arial map highlighting the trees in red and photographs evidencing recent storm damage. Tpo 442 T1 Hornbeam Tree has a significantly large wound located at its base around 2.5 meters in length. We would please like permission to proportionality reduce the tree by 20% mainly on its east side to ease stress on the crown. Tree highlighted in Blue on the attached arial map. Please see the attached photo of wound. Tpo 442 T5 Lime tree Tree has been prevously pollarded we would like permission for a repollard back to the historic pruning points to remove the long epicormic growth. Tree highlighted in yellow on arial map. Please see attached photograph of tree.
