TfL is proposing to make alterations to the listed wall on Merantun Way to facilitate a scheme to improve north-south pedestrian and cycle movements across Merantun Way, linking Station Road and the Wandle Trail. The existing archway in the wall is located on the north side of Merantun Way and has a clear width of 1.46m, creating a bottleneck with poor visibility for pedestrians and cyclists. As a result, TfL are proposing the creation of an additional opening in the wall with a clear width of 3.65m.
