In addition, the tree produces a significant volume of fruit that falls directly onto the adjacent public pedestrian pavement. The scale of the fruit drop creates an ongoing public maintenance issue and potential slip hazard. As a replacement, a silver birch tree (T2) will be planted in the front garden away from the pavement.
