The proposal is to deliver a low- or zero-carbon heating system, designed around a renewable Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) solution as well as 68no. Solar Panels at roof level. Proposal is to fit 4no. 20kW Panasonic Air Source Heat Pumps mounted at roof level above the existing plant room on a bespoke galvanised steel support frame with handrail and lockable gate. The existing boiler flues to be removed and any redundant penetration in the roof felt are to be made good. Furthermore, the existing heat emitters are no longer suitable for retention or reuse, therefore new radiators are to be installed with new pipework is to be provided in areas that are currently unheated. Solar panels are proposed to be installed at roof level on the two pitched roofs located on opposite sides of the building, as well as on the flat roofs positioned centrally, as shown on the proposed roof plan.
