Request to add a lead capping to the external cornice at the very top of our house, as advised by our surveyor. Our cornice is failing due to prolonged exposure to the elements, and would benefit (after a like-for-like refurbishment) from this protection. This lead capping would run across the length of our external cornice, where the house looks out onto Clerkenwell Close - as our neighbours at the Crown Tavern already have installed. The lead capping will not be visible from ground level, and would be unlikely to be conspicuous from a height as the facade is already painted in a grey tone.
