1) Replacement of all white uPVC external windows, associated doors and insulated spandrel panels with white uPVC replacement window assemblies achieving a minimum classification of A2, s1-do (limited combustibility) or better in accordance with BS EN 13501-1 with cavity barriers installed around the window openings. The thermal performance of the window assemblies will also be enhanced. 2) Encapsulating the existing exposed wood wool boarded soffits with a new external soffit board (colour to be confirmed) that achieves a minimum classification of A2- s1-do (limited combustibility) or better. 3) Replacement of the existing black painted timber T & G cladding system with a new black rainscreen cladding system achieving a rating of A1 or A2-s1-d0(limited combustibility) fixed to a noncombustible support/bracketry system complete with new cavity and fire barriers. 4) Any necessary repairs to the existing facing brickwork will be carried out with a facing brick that closely matches the existing.As a result of a serious fire to a flat in November2024, our client is also proposing to carry out internal passive fire remediation works to all flats across the Bakersfield Estate.
