Access Lane North Of Greenacres Farm Burnt House Lane Arreton Newport Isle Of Wight PO30 2PN
T1; Oak Trees along Access Lane: *Crown lift and selectively reduce the lower canopy of the oak trees extending across the farm access lane. * Remove selected low and overhanging branches to establish a clear access envelope approximately 20 ft (6.1 m) wide and 5.5 m high along the lane. * Pruning to be limited to the minimum necessary to achieve the required agricultural vehicle clearance. * Retain the overall form, structural framework and upper crowns of the trees. * Final pruning cuts to suitable branch unions/growth points in accordance with good arboricultural practice and BS 3998:2010. Reason: To provide sufficient vertical and lateral clearance for tractors, agricultural trailers and combine harvesters using the established farm access. T2; Smaller Trees, Shrubs & Self-Seeded Growth: * Coppice or remove smaller mixed trees and shrubs encroaching into the access corridor. * Remove small self-seeded stems growing within the usable lane. * Clear vegetation sufficiently to maintain the required 20 ft wide access corridor. * Retain vegetation that does not interfere with agricultural access wherever practicable. Reason: To restore and maintain the full usable width of the established farm access for agricultural machinery. T3; Ash Trees Adjacent to Road: * Fell the specified ash trees adjacent to the road to as close to ground level as reasonably practicable. * Sectionally dismantle where required due to their position. Remove stems and canopy currently restricting the entrance and required access envelope. Reason: Provide sufficient clearance at the farm entrance for large agricultural vehicles and machinery. T4; Ash Stem: * Remove the specified ash stem that projects into the access corridor. * Sectionally dismantle where necessary. * Cut back to an appropriate union or ground level as applicable. Reason: The stem restricts the required 20 ft wide 5.5 m high agricultural access corridor. General * Target finished access envelope: approximately 20 ft (6.1 m)
