I would like to replace my existing casement double glazing white UPVC with an updated set of Awning UPVC double glazing windows. I have learned that as long as the windows are the same style as before there would her no need for planning permission. I thought id double check with the local council before going ahead with windows with a slightly different design. A few other flats in my building have already updated to the Awning style UPVC windows which were replaced by our local council Hackney borough of london. So essentially my proposal is the match a design that has been imposed by Hackney Borough of London on some of the other flats in my building. The Awning style windows look aesthetically more minimalist while still fitting in with the original style. The reason to re new my windows are that they are all broken in one way or another so will need to be updated asap.
