The primary aim of the proposed works is to reduce the overall crown weight and sail effect, thereby reducing wind resistance and the potential for branch failure or damage. A secondary benefit will be aesthetic. The tree is currently distinctly misshapen and leggy, and the proposed works will help to improve its overall form and balance
