5 Rectory Close, Coventry, CV5 9AE

Tree: T1 – Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) proposed works: Crown raise to provide a minimum clearance of 4 metres above the adjacent footpath/pedestrian access. Selectively reduce lateral branches growing towards the residential buildings to provide approximately 3 metres clearance from the building elevations and rooflines. The tree has evidence of historic topping/reduction within the upper crown. No further reduction in overall height is proposed. Reason for works: To provide suitable clearance over the adjacent pedestrian route and between the mature tree and nearby residential properties, reducing ongoing conflict with the buildings whilst retaining the tree’s overall height, form and amenity value. All pruning works to be undertaken in accordance with BS 3998:2010, with cuts made back to suitable growth points/branch unions and unnecessary large-diameter pruning wounds avoided.
