Land Fronting Rothards The Tye East Hanningfield Chelmsford Essex

Weeping Willow - Reduce willow to 3m below previous pruning point (height) and 1m beyond pruning points on laterals and cut back 1m from overhead cables. Reason: Since submitting a previous application (20/05530/CAT) following storm damage to one of the pair of weeping willows at East Hanningfield Tye, it has been advised that the pruning intended for the northern tree, Tree B on the accompanying plan, will be insufficient, because it will encourage regrowth from the ends of branches which are not strong enough to bear its weight. There are concerns with safety as it is beside a bus stop and the pedestrian route to a local pub/restaurant. The risk of creating unsafe branches, likely to fall, must be avoided.
