London Borough of Barnet

2 x Willow (applicants ref. A, B) - Cut back branches overhanging Sheepwash Pond. Permission is sought to cut back overhanging branches and remove self rooted branches of willow trees surrounding the pond to restore the open water. The cutting back will affect the lower branches of 3 to 4 well established willows growing on the east and west banks. The main body of the trees will be unaffected. Overall some 30 to 40 overhanging or self rooted branches of 5cm to 15cm in diameter will be removed. This will not have an adverse effect on the parent trees. It is also proposed to remove 3 to 4 saplings which are established on and are damaging the wall. Standing in Group G1 of Tree Preservation Order.
