To remove all the external façade materials and replace flammable substrate materials, install required fire barriers and replace facade material with matching or equivalent A1 or A2 fire rated materials. The new bricks are to match the existing bricks used. The existing Zinc and Brass metal cladding will be replaced with an equal metal sheeting to match the existing colour and style of cladding. The existing galzed spandrel panels are to be set aside for reuse and the flammable insulation will be replaced with Mineral wool and fire breaks to be added on compartment lines The single ply roof membrane is to be removed along with the flammable insulation on the roof and terraces. To be replaced with a Bauder felt roof system and using mineral wool for the insulation. In order to maintain equivalent U-Values the roof and short parapets will need to be raised by 100mm to maintain a minimum 150mm clear upstand from the roof level to the top of the parapet waterproof material. The coping on top of the parapet will be replaced with the same material. In all wall types new fire barriers will be required as per fire engineers requirements Any wall service penetrations will be fire rated as they pass through the cladding material. Any rear garden and terrace dividing fences will be replaced with an alternative A1 or A2 cladding fire rated equivalent cladding.
