Beech House 4 The Common Crich Matlock Derbyshire DE4 5BH

Re: Notification of Proposed Tree Works Removal of Rowan Tree (Sorbus aucuparia) within Crich Conservation Area Dear Sir / Madam, I am writing to formally notify the Council of my intention to remove a Rowan tree (Sorbus aucuparia) located within the grounds of my property , which lies within the Crich conservation area. The tree is self seeded and has not been placed there. The tree in question is situated approximately 12 inches (30 cm) from the external wall and foundations of my house. Due to its close proximity to the structure, the tree poses a potential risk of damage to the building foundations and drainage, as well as ongoing issues with leaf and root intrusion. I understand that, as the property lies within a conservation area, I am required to give the Council six weeks??? written notice before carrying out any works to trees. I therefore submit this letter as formal notification of my intention to remove the Rowan tree. Should the Council wish to inspect the tree, you will be able to see the tree on sun lane at the back of the property we are buying I have also included Photographs and details of the tree???s location via a simple sketch. I also intend to take down the out of control and dead Leylandi trees and some Italian Cypress trees to the front of the property both of these species are not protected species they however they are growing very close to walls and foundations of our and our neighbours walls. they can cause structural or light issues, though their root systems are relatively shallow compared to larger species like pines or oaks.
